KENYA FROM BUSH TO BEACH

See Africa’s landmark, Mount Kilimanjaro, at its best in Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Here you have the best view of the “roof of Africa”, which is actually in Tanzania. In the well-known national parks in southern Kenya, Amboseli and Tsavo West, you will also see the “Big 5” such as buffalo, lion, elephant, rhino and leopard. Afterwards, treat yourself to a few days of relaxation on the white sands of Diani Beach.

Day 1 | Arrive in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, your driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the rest of the day is at your leisure. If you arrive early in Nairobi, you can take a trip to the Giraffe Center, David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage or Karen Blixen’s former colonial farmhouse and museum about the writer’s life.

Day 2 | Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Your safari takes you south from Nairobi towards Kilimanjaro. En route you will see the most photographed scene in Kenya: the snow-capped peak of Kilimanjaro emerging from the clouds. In the afternoon you go on an extensive game drive through the Amboseli National Park. It is known for its large herds of elephants, but large numbers of zebra and wildebeest, giraffe and lion can also be found here. Optionally, you can take a trip to a Maasai village and learn more about the indigenous people who live here

Day 3 | Amboseli National Park – Tsavo West National Park
Early in the morning, when it is prime game viewing time, embark on a game drive and then continue to Tsavo West National Park. This is where the “Big 5” live, such as lions, elephants, water buffalo, rhinos and leopards. The rhinos are cared for in a fenced area at the Rhino Sanctuary. In the afternoon explore the vast Tsavo West National Park on a game drive.

Day 4 | Tsavo West National Park – Tsavo East National Park
After a hearty breakfast, you continue your safari and undertake another exciting game drive on the way. Arrive at Tsavo East in the afternoon. Here is home to large herds of elephant and buffalo.

Day 5 | Tsavo East – Diani Beach
After breakfast the drive continues south with game drives in Tsavo East. Lunch is a picnic lunch en route. In the afternoon you will reach the beaches of the Indian Ocean at Diani Beach, an Eldorado for divers, windsurfers and deep-sea fishermen.

Day 6 – 8 | Diani Beach
Not only sun and sea, but also the numerous bird and monkey species in the tropical gardens make Diani Beach an eventful place to stay.

Day 9 | home trip
Depending on the departure time, you will be driven to the airport in Mombasa in good time to start your journey home.
