SHORT NORTHERN TANZANIA SAFARI

This short safari is the ideal introduction for safari newcomers and is also popular before or after a Kilimanjaro climb. You will visit three beautiful wildlife areas in Tanzania: Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 1 | Arrival Kilimanjaro/Arusha
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted and driven to your accommodation. Depending on the time, optional excursions in the area can be arranged. The Arusha National Park is very close by, as is Lake Duluti, where you can make beautiful boat trips.

Day 2 | Tarangire National Park
After breakfast pick up at your hotel in Arusha or Moshi and drive to Tarangire National Park for picnic lunch and game drives until late afternoon. Tarangire is famous for its large herds of elephants and baobab trees. Especially in the dry season, thirsty antelopes and elephants can be seen migrating along the Tarangire River.

Day 3 | Ngorongoro Crater Tour
After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Crater and 6 hour crater tour. Ngorongoro has the world’s largest caldera with a depth of approx. 600 m and an extension of approx. 250 km². The Ngorongoro Crater is a spectacular backdrop for the approximately 20,000 wild animals found in it. The approximately 40,000 Maasai who are allowed to live with their sheep, goats and cows next to all the wild animals in their natural environment are also unique in this area.

Day 4 | Lake Manyara National Park
Morning game drives in Lake Manyara National Park. The park is enclosed by the African Rift Valley, a thin belt of green forest bordered by 600 m high red and brown rocks and Lake Manyara Soda, which gives the park its name. Lake Manyara is famous for its almost 400 species of birds and its tree lions, which you can see if you are lucky. Late afternoon drive back to Arusha or Moshi.
