In half a day you can go from cloud-shrouded volcanic mountains to a sunlit savanna dotted with wildlife. Undulating hills with endless tea plantations merge seamlessly into a dense jungle, a rain forest with the chaotic musical accompaniment of thousands of forest birds.
Uganda thrives on these contrasts: the tiniest hummingbirds shimmer in the morning light, huge forest elephants appear silently from the thicket and just as quickly disappear back into it. Chimpanzees make their way noisily and screeching their way through the undergrowth, while the gorillas prefer to sit thoughtfully on a branch in the bamboo bushes.
And there is the magnificent Nile, winding its way north across the country like a shimmering ribbon – through lush, green landscapes and finally through semi-deserts dotted with rocky kopjes.
Snow-covered peaks, tropical sandy beaches on freshwater lakes and smiling faces everywhere: Let yourself be fascinated by Uganda!
